Comments : Quick processing. I had my children with me and we were waiting in line and processed by BCO within about 15 minutes. Consulate Review: Sydney, Australia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 30, 2019
Embassy Review : Very efficient document collation and security process on the 10th floor. Then up to take a number and wait. I have 2 children who were part of the application process. So we waited a little longer and watched other K1 applicants have their interview and leave. That was a little daunting but overall we were in and out in just under 2hrs.

The Immigration Officer was very efficient and professional. He asked all the questions you’d expect like when was the last time I had seen my fiancé in person etc. I was told to expect passports and visas within the 2 weeks.

Rating : Very Good

Hello, Congratulations!!! I'm in the UK and the I-129F was filed at the end of December. Did you meet your fiancee online like I did? Because I heard that meeting them online makes an RFE more likely. Thank you and best wishes!

Hi! Yes we met online and have been travelling back and forth for almost 18 months now and we were able to show proof of our travels and times together. Our RFE was because my fiancé didn’t send the correct legal endorsed copy of his divorce decree with the I-129. Ours we believe took longer too as he’s ex military and they check his military discharge circumstances etc. I see lots of couples who have met online that haven’t had RFE’s. So I wouldn’t worry yourself unnecessarily. Good luck to you both and stay strong :-)

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
