Consulate Review: Madrid, Spain
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 21, 2018
Embassy Review : Okay... so this review is from me (the petitioner) because my fiance is not into these things. His appointment was at 3 pm (Madrid time). He walked in and went through security where he had to leave his cell phone. He then encountered a woman who told him to go upstairs and press the letter B. (not sure what that means). He went upstairs and pressed the letter B. They called him up a few minutes later and they took his medical paperwork. They told him to sit and wait. He described it as a bank. There were multiple windows and people were speaking to the officers through the window. After an hour, he was called up and interviewed by a young woman. She asked him to describe our relationship and convince her that it was not a relationship of convenience. He described how he proposed. She asked him where I worked and how we communicate on a daily basis. She also asked him for pictures. She appeared to like looking through the pictures. The woman then told him that everything looked good and congratulated my fiance and wished him a happy life. She returned his original documents from packet 3 and explained that he would receive his passport with visa in a week as well as other documents that should not be opened and brought with him to the United States. My fiance was surprised at how fast it was and had to ask if he was done cause he wasn't sure. She said yes you are free to go. I wish everyone luck who is reading this and please send me a DM with any questions. I will be happy to help in any way that I can.
Rating : Very Good

Hey :) quick question When you scheduled your interview date in Madrid, did you wait to get packet 4 or you did it as soon as you saw it was ready on ceac website?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
