Consulate Review: Guangzhou, China
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 8, 2007
Embassy Review : Arrived at consulate at 6:30 am to line outside of building,I think it is a good idea to be early. at about 7:30 am began to let people into building. I was not allowed into the consulate so i waited in the park across the street. QingQing was finished and out of the building at 10:15 am with visa approval in hand. she said that her interview was about 2 minuets and she was asked about 5 questions.
1. What is your fiance's name?
2. when did your relationship begin?
3. how many times has your fiance been to china? she then gave the interviewer the copies of my china visas
4. when was your fiance's first trip to china?
5. asked what was fiance's job?

he then asked for some more photos of us together and then told her she had her visa and to enjoy america.

we picked up her visa in the morning of the second day very simple, but the map they give to you at the consulate to find the post office could use alot of work. I think finding the post office was more work then getting the visa HAHA.

she said her interviewer was a friendly and nice black man.

we then spent a week with her family, and tied up some loose ends and arrived in Chicago April 6th
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
