Consulate Review: Guangzhou, China Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Event Description Review Date : August 28, 2018 Embassy Review : Wife's appointment was at 830am. She was back to the hotel by 930am. There were two zones. The first had someone that spoke Chinese and collected all the documents. The second had the interviewer that spoke English. The interview was super casual. Wife said she was joking with the officer and at the end he didn't say congratulations to her so she congratulated herself. She said that he kept saying "Oh I forgot to ask you this question" and then would ask her another question. He then said you are approved and gave her the approval letter. Some questions asked (wife didn't remember them all): Where was your husband born? Is this your husband (and then showed her a picture)? Do you have any children? Do you plan on having children? He didn't ask her if she was a member of the CCP. Rating : Very Good
