Lascio la mia opinione qui in caso qualcuno abbia delle domande o dei dubbi riguardo l'intervista per il visto K1.
PRIMO GIORNO: Sono arrivata all'istituto DIAGNOSTICO VARELLI alle 7.40 e avevo già 8 persone davanti a me (Il consolato suggerisce di arrivare li alle 8 ma prima ci arrivate, prima vi toglierete il pensiero). Appena arrivata mi hanno chiesto il passaporto, 4 fototessere e mi hanno fatto accomodare per fare gli esami del sangue, delle urine e i raggi al torace. In tutto ciò tra una visita e l'altra ho dovuto aspettare parecchio avendo diverse persone davanti a me. Dopo di che il medico mi ha chiesto il libretto dei vaccini (vi diranno loro se dovrete farne altri o meno), il mio indirizzo attuale, l'indirizzo in America e la mia e-mail. Poi per ultimo ci sarà la visita di base: mi hanno fatto domande riguardo al fumo, gravidanze, allergie, asma, operazioni chirurgiche e cosi via. Mi hanno controllato la vista, il peso, l'altezza, linfonodi, pressione e infine mi hanno fatto un solo vaccino (morbillo, parotite e rosolia). Vi consiglio di farvi tutti i vaccini richiesti nella vostra ASL altrimenti dovrete pagare di più. Una volta fatto tutto sono andare a pagare e me ne sono andata.
SECONDO GIORNO: Il mio appuntamento era alle 9.30 ed io sono arrivata alle 9.00, infatti la guardia mi ha fatto aspettare un buon quarto d'ora fuori. Dopo di che sono entrata e ho passato i controlli di sicurezza (stile aereporto). I cellulari e i vari apparecchi elettronici vanno lasciati all'entrata. Borse/zaini di dimensioni troppo grandi non sono ammessi. Io avevo con me la borsa del computer portatile con tutti i documenti e non mi hanno detto nulla quindi potete usare anche quella se vi viene più comodo. Mi hanno dato un badge da visitatore con un numero (cosi quando uscirete potrete recuperare i vostri effetti personali) e mi hanno indirizzata al secondo piano.
Era una grande ed unica stanza con tutte le sedie e gli sportelli con il vetro (tipo alle poste). Mi sono seduta e ho aspettato che chiamassero il mio numero. Quando è stato il mio turno la signorina (Italianissima) mi ha chiesto: PASSAPORTO, DS-160, CERTIFICATO DI NASCITA, CASELLARIO GIUDIZIARIO, CARICHI PENDENTI, 2 FOTOTESSERE, AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT E DICHIARAZIONE DEI REDDITI DEL MIO FIDANZATO. Mentre controllava i vari documenti mi ha fatto anche qualche domanda del tipo se il mio fidanzato lavora, cosa faccio io nella vita, quando l'ho visto l'ultima volta e altre cose cosi. Il tutto è durato all'incirca 5 minuti. Ho dovuto usare un JOINT SPONSOR (suo padre) perchè la dichiarazione dei redditi del mio fidanzato era troppo bassa, ma fortunatamente ero preparata e me lo hanno accettata. Quindi non fatevi problemi ad usare un joint sponsor se avete dei dubbi riguardo al reddito del vostro fidanzato/a. E' sempre meglio andare preparati. Dopo aver controllato tutto mi ha chiesto di accomodarmi e aspettare l'intervista con la console.
Dopo circa 10 minuti sono stata chiamata all'altro sportello dove la console (una donna americana molto gentile e carina) mi ha chiesto di alzare la mano destra e giurare che tutto quello che stavo dicendo era la verità (sembrava molto law & order). Mi ha preso le impronte e iniziato a farmi domande su come ho conosciuto il mio fidanzato, se ho mai conosciuto i suoi genitori, quante volte sono stata in America, il mio lavoro, il suo lavoro, precedenti matrimoni o figli, precedenti penali e come mi ha fatto la proposta di matrimonio. In fine mi ha chiesto solo di vedere alcune fotografie di noi due. Io le avevo portare tutte, 45 in tutto più le conversazioni e tabulati telefonici ma non me li ha chiesti. L'intervista è durata circa 10 minuti e per la maggior parte del tempo ho parlato in inglese, ma potete tranquillamente scegliere voi. Alla fine di tutto mi ha detto che il mio visto era stato approvato e mi ha dato il benvenuto in America  Alle 10.15 avevo già finito tutto. Ho ricevuto il visto dopo due giorni con DHL (ritiro in sede).
Nonostante fossi nervosa e in ansia, è stato tutto molto semplice e veloce. Se avete domande o curiosità non esitate a chiedere!

Just a quick review about my experience at the POE in Orlando Airport with my k1 visa. It was really smooth as I thought. Lot of people in line but that's normal. The officer just asked me my fiancee's job. He tooked my fingerprints and picture. I had to wait in a Secondary room, which is not bad as you may think. They just have to review your visa and papers. It tooked 20 minutes. No questions asked. The officer reminded me to getting married within 90 days. I advicee to choose Orlando as POE. Good luck! |

Yestarday me and my husband had the Adjustment of Status Interview. The lady was really nice. She asked the usual questions about us and our family. Pretty much just our biographic informations. We gave her our bank statement, the last tax returns, W2 and my husband's employment letter. We showed her our photo album with all of our pictures (she was focus on the wedding pictures and she kept a few). We had lots of proves but she didn't ask anything else. We got approved on the spot! it was so easy!
