Embassy Review : I had my K-1 interview this morning, and was approved! The whole process was very smooth and professional, and the people working there are all really friendly. It's not at all like crossing the border where they're stern and stony-faced. I didn't have to produce any "proof of relationship," although I had it with me. At the "interview" window I was just asked a few questions such as where I've traveled internationally in the past 5 years and where/when my fiancé and I met. All in all a great experience for something so tedious!
Rating : Very Good

Embassy Review : My husband and I had our AOS interview yesterday at the Fairfax office, and it went pretty smoothly. The office is what you would expect - like a DMV but with more tension in the waiting room. We were called exactly 15 mins after our interview time, and the officer was friendly and professional. She mainly asked me questions, and my USC husband just sat there quietly most of the time. We went through the whole I-485, confirming addresses and other basic info before running through all the scary yes/no questions. After that she asked what other evidence we had brought, and I handed over updated documents for my husband's Affadavit of Support as well as evidence of our married life. We had a lease, joint credit card, wedding photos and cards etc. At the end she gave us a speech about USCIS having 120 days to let us know their decision, and we left feeling a bit worried. One hour later our case status changed to "Interview was completed and case must be reviewed," and four hours after that it changed to "new card is being produced." So excited to be done with this process for a couple of years! Just make sure you have all your documents organized and the interview isn't a big deal.
Harassment Level : Good

Hi guys. Congrats on your case progress. Could you please share some detail as to how you were able to expedite your EAD/AP processing through your congressman based on financial loss/job offer? I have a job offer as well so naturally I am curious. Please let me know.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
