CEAC Case Status (approximate dates): At NVC (10/30/17) -> Ready (11/10/17) -> Issued (12/6/17).
My wife's interview at the US Embassy at Islamabad went well. The counselor was very friendly and facilitating, and only asked a few questions pertaining to marriage dates (he asked for pics) and what I do in the US (I'm a PhD student and work in the industry during summers. My income is way above the poverty line). However the whole ordeal took more than 5 hours in total, which includes about 3 hours at the embassy.
A whole lot of marriage evidence documents were sent to the USCIS including pictures, money transfers, jewelry/clothing receipts, credit card logs, and chat logs. Additional updated evidence was sent in the NVC envelope a few months later as well (I visited my wife a second time after our marriage in between in Pakistan as well).
Thank you everyone for putting up their documents and date information here on visajourney. It has helped us a lot :) |

Everything was very peaceful at the POE.
Had to go to the Social Security Office to apply for an SSN, even though we mentioned in the application to automatically apply for one.
Got the green card via mail on 5/12/18. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
