Consulate Review: Moscow, Russia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 28, 2020
Embassy Review : Even though we arrived late and there was a decent line we were still only there for a couple of hours. Interview was easy with only basic questions asked, 5 or 6 in total. We were prepared with pretty much everything we could think of for paperwork and while the vast majority of it ended up being unnecessary it made us more relaxed in preparation for it.
Rating : Very Good

Congratulations! Can you tell me how you were notified? Thanks in advance.

Sorry about the late response, but I did not see your comment. I received a letter in the mail from USCIS. Their website does not update you on progress nor did I receive a text message as I had signed up for. As a matter of fact, I just checked their website and it is still not updated with case status.

No worries. We still have no change on our case. It is really disheartening. We will continue to watch your progress and hope things continue to go well for you. Very interested in how things go in getting an interview. Best of luck,

Hi, John. We received our approval on 1-15. Has Olga found her way into this Russia specific WhatsApp group? Do you have a link?
O&JForever on 2019-01-21 said:
Hi again. Congratulations on your approval! What Russia specific group are talking about?
blank avatar Mekulisch on 2019-01-21 said:
Supposedly, it is a group of girls who are helping each with keeping tabs on interview openings...alerting each other if they find availability. It is http://tutnetam.com Vika looked at it and wasn’t too keen on it

I am not familiar with this site. Are you just seeking when to get an interview appointment or are you seeking help through the entire remaining process?
blank avatar Mekulisch on 2019-01-22 said:
I’m open to any assistance in the rest of the process. However, the interest in the site is primarily for help in obtaining an interview appointment. I don’t believe this site would be helpful beyond potentially identifying open interview slots.
O&JForever on 2019-01-22 said:
I have been using www.visatutor.com during the process. Prem, who runs the site, for a reasonable fee will answer as many emails as you have or for a little you can also do Skype support.

Thanks for the information. I will check it out. Sounds a lot more reliable than this WhatsApp deal 😉

May I ask, was there emphasis on the new Trump restrictions for “public charge”?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
