Fiancé had to go through the sputum test which delayed him being interviewed for 2 mos., thank God and our lucky stars that the culture came out negative and interview went well and was approved. It took us about 3 weeks on AP before having our visa delivered, other than that everything else went smooth and well. My handsome picked up his packet at a 2Go branch we selected on 9/1 (Pinas). Can't wait to be with him. :) |

My Fiancé had a smooth entry (other than the long line he had to endure arriving around noon time), he said the officer that interviewed him and checked his documents was very nice, even sent him off with well wishes for the both of us. Customs was also pleasant with him did not ask very many questions as to what he has brought with him, a total of less than 10mins and he was out and about. |

Embassy Review : |
What we thought was going to be a stressful day turned out to be a Blessed one instead. Here’s our timeline:
Hotel: Red Planet Manila Bay (few minutes walk from the Embassy)
4am: woke up and ready by 4:30am
4:30-5:15am: reviewed and checked all documents
5:30am: arrived at US EMBASSY
5:45am: guard asked all the 6:40am people (Fiancé) to fall in line.
Guard asks to see the appointment letter and once you enters the gate, another guard hands out plastic bags to put your passport in (Bio page visible) and asks for DS-160, puts a sticker in it then to a room where you’ll have your body scanned and checked, wait again then you enter the main building where they do another body scan. Since he was first in line, he was able to proceed to the Fil Consul window right away.
Filipino Consul: DS-160, NBI, PSA BC, Cenomar, MRV Slip/receipt
Questions Asked:
Name, Age, Petitioner’s Name and where I’m from.
How we met and when?
Asked if my Fiancé have pictures of us (proof of relationship), asked to have it ready for the US consul.
US Consul: DS-160 (scanned the code and started typing on her computer)
Questions Asked (very pleasant female US consul):
Name, Age, DOB (petitioner’s too)
Asked for pictures together (scanned all of the pictures and asked about some of them)
Asked where I’m from, what I do, and where I work.
Asked if Fiancé is currently working, what he does and where.
Asked if we were married before or currently married.
(Little chat about our baby on the way and jobs) then says “Congratulations! I now approved your visa! Gave him about 3 pieces of papers, returned our proof of relationship, and told him “Have a good day!†Fiancé was interviewed 10minutes in total and was out and about the embassy within 2hours (7:30am).
He said the process was very painless and everything was so organized and fast. The staff was also pleasant.
God is good! ðŸ™ðŸ» Good luck to all!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
