Comments : We were initially scheduled to interview December 14, 2018. But unfortunately my fiancé had to undergo the additional sputum test checks, and had to wait the additional 3 months to clear her medical. Finally got medically cleared February 15, 2019. Our rescheduled interview for March 7, 2019, was rescheduled again by the embassy for March 14, due to staff training day. On that day we spent about 15-20 minutes for the interview and approval. Spent less than 45 minutes at the embassy as the shuffled us through. I think we were helped greatly by me and my daughter being there together with my fiancé. We had no trouble at all. But I advise everybody to come prepared. Other ladies there got a hard time, a delayed decision or denial. That was very scary and sad to witness. Be sure to arrive on time for the interview too. The line is humongous long. Queuing up early isn’t allowed more than 15 minutes before your schedule time as there are hundreds of people waiting. Thank God we had no problems.

Event Description
Review Date : March 29, 2019
Embassy Review : I really can’t complain too much about our experience. Our interview had to be rescheduled 3 times due to Sputum test, and embassy training schedule. However Once we finally arrived we were initially confused as there were no clear instructions or signage available for those arriving for their appointments. There was a couple hundred people already lined up once we got there. Filipinos love queuing up early. Which makes no difference as you aren’t allowed in until15 minutes prior to your appointment time. In our case we spent 15-20 minutes just trying to figure out which door or line was for appointments. Important to remember that people visit for a variety of embassy business, I.e, birth registrations, tourist visa, immigrant visa, K1 visas and much more. I do think it helped that I went with my fiancé as being a US citizen go us in front of the crowd. In fact we never had to wait long at all. Our time was very brief, less than 30 minutes once we made it through the door until the interview was complete. A couple quick observations I made were those applicants arriving with their citizen sponsor seemed to get approved quicker and with far less hassle. Though the interviewing officer will make the citizen sit down to wait. I suspect it’s to protect the integrity of the interview and guard against any potential fraud. Secondly all the filipinas I saw were VERY visibly nervous. That’s understandable considering the nature of what they are trying to do. People should just try to relax and don’t get intimidated. Though it’s easy to see why cause some of the interviewers didn’t seem too friendly. I saw a couple ladies get flat out denials, while others had to return with additional documentation. But the vast majority were approved. My fiancé got asked only 5-6 questions and she was done. There’s only a few stations to go through beginning with the pre-interview process, documents check, interview and fingerprints. All in all we were happy with the process, and thankfully don’t have to repeat it. Just be sure to come prepared with all or your documents. In fact bring more than you need. Remember YOU must prove the validity of the relationship and don’t lie or be untruthful and you should do fine.
Rating : Very Good

We are still awaiting th final I-751 - Petition to Remove Conditions on my wife's Green Card. We initially applied for this June 2021. Already done the interview and biometrics, yet keep getting extensions. The first was a 2 year extension, that was due to expire June 2023. Today we received another one, but for 4 years years now. Beyond frustration and ridiculous. Is anyone else having this problem?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
