The interviewer was a male consulate which seemed to give the fiancee's a hard time. He didn't ask any questions about our relationship, just said a bunch of statements that my fiancee had to defend herself. My fiancee said he only had one finger on each hand, and was a complete di** to her and the fiancee in front of her. My fiancee's advice is to listen to the people in front of you and try to prepare yourself for the same retarded questions. She said the there was another interviewer (female) who seemed to be pretty nice, but she didn't talk to her. Well she was issued a visa Hope your interview goes more smoothly with the same "congrats you will get your visa...sometime"
(overall useless interview with unnecessary rudeness!!!) |

Appointment time was for 10:15 but we got there an hour early. We were there about 10min and they called us back to an office. We remained standing and as we "swore in" then she told us to have a seat. She said that she was a supervisor, and normally didn't do interviews. To start off she asked for our ID's and opened the folder of everything we've ever submitted to the USCIS. For about 10 min she asked us questions that were on the I-485. Like names, birthday's, address, and anything else that was on there. After she asked us these questions she said "I dont see anything wrong so your approved" She asked us to wait in the lobby while she typed up an acceptance letter. About five min later we talked with another immigration officer who explained that we were approved and a greencard should arrive in about two weeks, and we need to apply to remove conditions 90 before the two year greencard expires. Then we were done!!!
NOTE!!! They never asked to see any joint credit/checking accounts, pictures, utility bills, or anything else that we had to show we were a couple. Mabye it was because she was a supervisor, and didnt really follow the normal procedure. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
