Event Description
Review Date : November 14, 2018
Embassy Review : Building located at several blocks away from the Nicollet Mall light rail station, a lot cheaper than driving & parking in the downtown area. The staff were nice and friendly. Security check is pretty much like what you will have in airport, but no need to take off your shoes. Remember to bring your interview notice with you as that's what they need to see before they let you in. The interview lasted for 10-15 minutes. The offer checked the basic info with us (birthday, current address, previous work experience). A lot of yes/no questions from i-485. She also asked for additional bona-fide evidence. We did not bring photos as we have included a lot in the application package, but we did bring additional financial proof (lease, insurance with both of our names on), as well as our joint tax return documents. We did not get approved on-site because the officer wanted to go over our documents one more time. Our case was approved 4 days after the interview (i-485 case showing 'new card is being produced'). One week after interview both i-130 and i-485 status changed to 'case was approved'. We had an attorney helping us preparing the documents and she was with us during the interview, but she did not have to speak too much because the interview went smooth.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
