Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 21, 2018
Embassy Review : Very easy process. Arrived at 11:15 for my 11:30 appointment. I handed my email confirmation and passport to a lady who signed me in, and then proceeded through airport style security. I then entered the main building and handed my DS160 to another lady, who attached several stickers to the page and instructed me to take the elevator to the first floor. Upon entering the first floor, a lady at a desk straight ahead pointed me around the corner to the left to the waiting room for the k1 visas. The room was pretty empty, approximately 5 other people in there? I sat down and waited in front of windows 20-21. After approximately ten minutes, my number flashed up on the screen and I was told to go to my window. The gentleman asked me when I met my fiancee, and then went down a check list of required paperwork for me to provide. I then had my finger tips scanned and told to take a seat and wait for my interview. Took a seat for all of five minutes before another officer called me up. She typed away as she asked me questions: how did you meet your fiancee and where will you be living? She then returned my original documentation, said everything was in check, and expect my visa in one to two weeks.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
