Event Description

Embassy Review : Ok, So my interview was scheduled for 7:30am on the 20/12/18. Arrived at the embassy by 5am and slept in the car for 1hour. By 6:30 we were called to form a queue and one by one we were checked and allowed to enter into the consular section. Ironically, my name was the last name on the list and I was the very first person to be interviewed that day. Immediately we were ushered into the room and got seated, I was called to window 9. A very nice and sweet Ghanaian lady with all smiles asked how I was doing and then requested to have the originals of my marriage cert, medicals, Police report, birth cert, 2passport pictures, photo album and the original birth certs of our 3 kids. She asked if i had any other prove of relationship to add, i said yes and added my employers health insurance coverage for myself,my wife and our 3 kids, she then asked me to have a seat. In about 10minutes I was called to window 7 for the actual interview by a very young lady(mid-late 20s) with an expressionless face. She was not too nice and not rude too. After leading me through the oath swearing the questions begun like this:

1. Who filed for you
2. How long have you known each other
3. How did you meet.
4. How many kids do you have with your wife
5. What work do you do
6. Have traveled outside Ghana before
7. To where and when
8. Are all your children in the US with your wife
9. Why didn't she file for you all these years.

She then said my wife needs to send them 2017 tax transcript, so i should take my passport and submit it with the document at DHL office.I submitted my passport and the document on the 27 December because of the holidays and just today my visa was Issued. The Whole interview lasted under 5minutes and by 9:00am I was out of the embassy. Thanks be to Jah ! We did not frontload or sideload at all but please we have the strongest prove of a bonafide relationship(3 Children all US born) that is why we did not care to frontload or side load. Good luck to all those who are yet to have their interviews, always remember to be confident, precise answers and eye contact.
Rating : Very Good

I am curious as to what your last four case numbers are with NVC. Our case number with NVC ends with 2002. We are figuring we will get our appt soon with the Embassy.

Mine ends with 3006. I see that CC is 14/8 and you still dont have an appointment, I am pretty sure you will get for January. Wish you the best of luck

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
