1. 10/16/06
Case status online reports that I-129F was "last updated" on 10-16-06. Dont know if this means "touched"
2. We met in Venice for 4 days between 10/7 and 10/11/06
3. 10/17/06
Aditi also applied and was granted a visitor visa for 6 weeks. She comes here Nov 14th. Her application was filed before we filed the K-3/I-130. But in my affidavit of support that she carried on her interview date in Kolkata we stated that we had filed for I130 and I129F. She was asked questions about when she would return and said she would return at the end of December to India. The consulate officer issued her a 6 week single entry visa.
4. 10/20/2006
K-3 transferred to VSC from Chicago. Numerous touches from 10/30 to 11/4
5. 11/9/2006
Aditi boarded her flight today in Bombay using her B2 visa. Will be here in Newark, NJ tomorrow
6. 11/9/2006
Case status online reports I-130 is approved (NOA-2)
7. We rendezvous every other month in Europe for a few days.
8. The process weaves its way through the BCIS chain, and I am asked to resubmit photos once. K-3 approval comes in Feb 2007. NVC I130 approval comes in March 2007
9. We decide to go with I130. Mumbai invites Aditi for an interview for her K3 on April 26th.
10. Things move fast now. Aditi downloads the Packet3 from the Mumbai Consulates web site and gets ready with all her docs. Mails packet 3.
10. She emails Mumbai consulate and asks them to hold her I130/CR1 interview on April 26th instead of the K3 interview
11. They are OK with it.
12. April 26th - gets CR1
13. May 2nd - we're in the US together
14. Gets perm res card on May 9th
15. No SSN although we asked for it in the application. We go to SS office and re-apply. SSN arrives end of May

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
