Comments : 11/9/15- Recieved notice that case was transferred to Potomac service center on November 9th.
5/3/17- After our denial seven months earlier, I went to the embassy during my third trip to Ghana to inquire on our case. USCIS had not received our case back from embassy. The embassy told me they would call me back with more info. I received a call from a CO later that day and I was told that our case had been sent back.
5/10/17-The embassy emailed me and let me know that our case was mailed back to USCIS and provided me the packet number for tracking.
July 2017- USCIS recieved our case for review from the embassy.
1/10/18- Recieved NOIR from USCIS
2/9/18- Sent rebuttal to USCIS
3/14/2018- USCIS reaffirmed our petition.
3/22/2018- NVC sent our case to embassy in Ghana.
4/19/2018- I contacted the embassy’s customer service number(tel:233506592787) to inquire on our case status. They said they would follow up within 48 hours via email. Our congress rep also checks in with the embassy every theee weeks to get an update. As of now the embassy has not received our case. The embassy did email us the link to schedule and online appointment, but there have been no available appointments. They did not contact my husband to pick up any packets yet.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
