Super fast, asked a few basic questions. All in all, my conversation with the CBP officer lasted about 5-10 minutes. |

Everyone was very friendly and helpful! The wait was not long at all. The man reviewing my case was sweet and funny, and made the whole process light and stress-free. Once I was called in for my interview, I was asked a few questions, nothing too serious, and then my visa was approved! Smooth, easy, stress-free process! |

Waited about 30 minutes after our appointment time to get called in for our AOS interview (adjusting from K1). Our IO was a sweet guy who first asked us for our marriage certificate, and then asked us how we met and how we eventually came together to get married. It was very relaxed and enjoyable, actually. We told him all about our first meeting, and he seemed to enjoy the story as well.
We showed him pictures of us together and with family over the last year and a half, and we gave him our documents that show joint ownership (e.g. lease, health insurance, credit cards, cell phone bills).
Finally, he went over the contents of the I-485, noting any changes that have happened since we filed it a year ago. Once that was done, he said okay, we’re done! He also said that he should be able to get our application approved by the end of the day, and that we’d receive our green card in 8 business days or so.
All in all, a great, stress-free experience! If you’re a genuine couple, you have nothing to worry about. Just make sure you have all documentation listed on the I-797 for the interview. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
