Consulate Review: Jamaica
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 17, 2018
Embassy Review : My Mr. arrived at 9 am for a 10 am interview and was told he wouldn't be allowed to enter until 9:30 am. He did not have any issues entering because his mom went with him and held his phone etc., so all he had was the paperwork need needed for the interview.
Upon entering he got his number and was directed to the waiting area. When his number was called he gave the CO the entire packet that we had compiled. She took the documents they need and handed it back the rest to him (we were super prepared). He was then directed to the fingerprint section where his fingerprint was taken. He was the directed to sit and wait his turn, basically. Windows 7 thru 12 were the interview windows ( he said the CO at window 7 gave mostly denials and window 9 CO seems nicer, so he was happy the got number 9).

After about 45 minutes wait he was called up and was grilled, he was asked roughly 15 questions. The questions included
- how we met
-my son's name
-my ex's name
- who lives in my house
-how many times I've visited
-what was the reason for my last visit
-where are we getting married
-why I haven't visited recently

Then the CO smile and told him he was approve and he can pick up his passport in a week. javascript:emoticon('')

Overall he thought it was a very good experience and is looking forward to our lives together.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
