Get there early because it becomes a first come first serve basis regardless of what time your interview is actually at. We were #2. I was able to go with my husband and sit in the lobby area. The lobby area is literally right there though. I was able to see my husband on the first window. And when he was called for the actual interview I could even hear some of the answers and questions. The interview really took like 5 minutes. They talked more about the weather than about our relationship. We were in the building a total of 40 minutes IF that. Thank you to everyone on VJ that have been very helpful. Also, West Canada is so much beautiful and friendlier than Montréal. ;) Everyone at the embassy was very friendly though. My husband said the lady that interviewed him was very kind. We stayed at a small hotel downtown. Le Dauphin. It was about a 5 minute walk from the consulate. We also had passed by the day before to see what the place looked liked and that’s how we saw what a long line it can get. Processing Estimates/Stats : Your I-130 was approved in 309 days from your NOA1 date. Your interview took 439 days from your I-130 NOA1 date.
