Only in AP for two days. Visa was issued per CEAC on 11/21/18
My case calls for email processing. Documents emailed on 8/6/18. Called NVC on 8/14/18 to check to see if they have reviewed the papers I emailed. I was told they were getting ready to send out a checklist because sent in a police certificate versus a nonconviction certificate. Submitted non criminal record via email to NVC on 9/1/18. I callled on 9/5/18 to confirm they receive my email from 9/1/18 and they state they did not. So I resumbited. On 9/6/18, I called NVC and confirmed receipt of my second email and they confirmed.
CEAC stated case complete on 9/7/18. Received official letter from NVC re case case complete on 9/14/8. |

My husband passed the test but they didn't approve him right away because for the first 3 years here, he would go back home for 5 months at a time and they needed proof that residency wasn't broken. |

My husband's interview was today. One thing that happened today that I was not expecting, was that during his interview, they called me and interviewed me over the phone. Good thing caller ID on my phone showed up saying Jordan otherwise I may not have answered the phone. I've never read them doing this to anyone before. I was caught off guard but and just thankful I was awake and semi alert. The officer was so nice and reassuring. They asked a lot of questions, when i visited, how long, how we met, when we got engaged, how many siblings do we each have, if my husband smokes/drinks and if so, what and what do we have in common. They are all questions you should be able to answer about your spouse. I was nervous before/during/after. He was approved for his visa. Our long journey in this process is finally wrapping up. We now will be able to live together forever. I can't wait. I've dreamed about this day for so long! Happy dancing! |

Timeline Comments: 1Did you have difficulty getting an interview appointment in Amman?
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
