Comments : |
The Consular Section DOES NOT mail Packet 3 to applicants; Packet 4 (appointment letter and medical letter). - received in email (will receive in mail much later)
Unexpectedly asked for the birth certificates of beneficiary's twins at the interview. We received paper asking us to submit the documents for processing and visa to then be processed. Second appointment is not needed.
Several inquiries, calls, and letter submitted by beneficiary via lawyer sent.
Thank God, case changed to visa "Issued" status on 08/20/18 |

As she flipped through our application, she asked:
His town/country of birth
His address here in the US
His parents Names
Where he lived
How/Where/When we met
Birth dates of his twins
Asked a few of the drug/alcohol/arrest/have you claimed to be US citizen background questions
Ever been married (asked both of us) - no for us both
Date of entry into US
Date of wedding/how many were there
Is he working. Name of company. City company located. She is familiar w the area and in convo asked how does he travel to work.
Am I still at my place of employment and how long have I been with the company.
They should have had his medical documents from packet. She was not finding the document in the packet...and so I gave her a copy of his vaccination card.
We submitted original documents - birth certs for the both of us, marriage certificate, and copy of twins birth certs when submitting the application
So, we then provided all proof of marriage/being together.
I provided: car insurance, car loan, health insurance, joint bank account (opening letter and current statement), current 2018 taxes showing field joint, married, and letter from pastor of the church we attend, I also provided more pics since the wedding. Pics with us, with family, and with friends.
They told us that she'd review the file before the end of the day and we should hear the decision 60 - 90 days. I have heard the others received card 7 days later. We shall see.
I think looked to see if we had on wedding rings too.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
