Consulate Review: Sydney, Australia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 21, 2017
Embassy Review : The consulate runs sort of like DMV etc, once you have passed through security etc on the 10th floor you head up in the elevator to the consulate . You walk into the consulate up to a ticket machine push the visa button and get a numbered ticket. The interviews are done at windows standing in front of everyone else waiting their turn. Everyone can listen to the interviews of those that go before them . My interview was straight forward with simple questions . My fiance had accidentally sent me the wrong affidavit Form so I had to organise him to send the right one. The staff were friendly , the process was simple. Not what I expected but still quick and painless .
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Los Angeles
Event Description
Entry Date : 2017-09-19
Embassy Review : My daughter and I came in on K1 and K2 , the immigration officer was polite . I handed over my envelopes asked me address of where we were staying stamped our passports took our fingerprints, said welcome and sent us on our way.
I thought it was easier and less fuss entering the country on a K1 than it was on the ESTA
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
