No IMBRA involvement. Received mailed copies of Packets 3 and 4 after everything was complete. Packet 4 received via e-mail. Received temporary work authorization at JFK upon entry. Married and happy, next up AOS...Here we go again. |

Foe the interview process they are first rate. Leading up to the interview it depends upon who answers the phone. There seems to be one woman and one man that take calls in the Consulate section. The woman that answers will look things up and give you good information. But, if the man answers he is lazy, rude, and seems to just put you on hold and then come back with a negative answer. Our package arrived on Nov 13 and they sent out Packet 3 on the 16th. I kept calling and the man told me that they had not received the package. On Dec 4 as I was leaving for Kiev I was lucky and got the woman. She told me when the package had been received and that they had sent out Packet 3. I stopped and e-mailed our response to Packet 3 and 4 days later we received a message scheduling her interview. Again, their website seems to have a disconnect, in this case I was happy about it. The website said that they were scheduling interviews for mid-January yet they gave us a mid-December interview. The interview and related process was awsome. The people were GREAT! The interviewer was a little amused by some of her answers and smiled a lot at her. She was very nervous and was expecting the worst...It never happened. The interviewer said the she should receive her visa the next day. After the interview we paid their sub-contract Fed-Ex, not a real Fed-Ex trust me, and went home. That evening we called "Fed-Ex", no answer...ever! The next day we called the Consulate and suprise, the man, the one that lies, said that it would take a few weeks to issue the visa! We wnt to Fed-Ex that afternoon and, hmmm, there was her visa. She is here now and my advise would be, if the man at the Consulate answers the phone hang up and try again...Good luck to everyone. |

Everything about this office is good. The entry through security, biometrics, and finally the AOS interview. The woman was friendly and interacted. She was well prepared and knew what she was looking for and understood that she deals with nervous people. She only asked to see a few wedding pictures. The package that I had sent her was complete and that seemed to help. She also asked how we met as my wife is Ukrainian and we met in Canada....It's a long story best told over a cold one. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
