Interview in Houston, TX at the Gears Rd location. Went 30min early, check-in, and waited in lobby. Name was called and was escorted by Officer to her office. Took about 30min. Officer asked questions like "Where did you meet?" "What's your Spouse's phone number?" Did you meet each other's family and how where you received?" Then she asked for evidence of relationship. Now this is where it got intense. She told us several times that she has a lot of Interviews to conduct so she was in a rush. She made us nervous because her instructions on what to give her where confusing and unclear. Ex. "I want you to give me what evidence you brought." When I handed them to her she said "No. I want the bills." So I start looking through my evidence for the bill, she said "This looks like it's going to be a long day." I said, "My evidence is in order according to the I-797." She said, "I know what's in the I-797." Because she's an Officer I felt I could not tell her her instructions are confusing and unclear because she might get angry and retaliate by denying us. So I just handed her the evidence one at a time. We satisfied all the requirements, got approved, but it was not a good experience.

After being approved for Naturalization the Officer noticed that my Lifting of Conditions application was still pending. He said he must get the response back from that, deny it, then continue with approving Citizenship. I left and went home. The Officer called and said I was approved the Ceremony date will be mailed in two weeks. We received the letter in one week. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
