Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : Seattle
POE Date : 2018-07-04
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : Our POE was in Seattle and it was honestly the easiest part of the trip to Los Angeles. We when through the cue #2 and when we got to the window i told the officer our 4 month old daughter and myself were US citizens and my fiance was not, and she was entering on a K1 visa. He asked for her packet, he opened it up check out a few pages, then asked her to put her 4 fingers on the reader and took her photo and then said welcome to America and to get married in 90 days. It was literally 5 min. I realize we have been extremely lucky in our process but i just wanted to share.

Got I551 Stamp : No
Greencard Received: 2020-11-19
Comments : We were extremely lucky again. The officer got us from the loby, we entered the room , took the oath to tell the truth. We sat down he told us he had already reviewed our case, and that because we have a child together the other evidence wasnt even needed for him to see. He asked my wife some questions about if she was a terrorist or a sex trafficker and we were approved on the spot.

We were married for over two years by the time our interview and she got a 10 year green card.

Other than waiting for each step to go through the process, once we were face to face with someone it was extremely smooth and easy for us. I know we are not the norm and we feel extremely lucky that each step was so fast and easy.

Comments : This whole process has been unusually easy for us. If you have read our whole timeline you will see other than COVID we had very easy and fast processing times and interview experiences. From the K! to the Green Card and now to Citizenship all super easy and we feel blessed it has been so easy the whole way. From first filing our N400 on 2/15 and then 3/29 geting her citizenship the N400 took 6 weeks total. We filed electronicly so not arue if that made a difference but wow we are still shocked at the speed at which it happend. Hope everyone who reads this has an easy and pleasant experience. Dont give up and you can do this!!!!!

Consulate Review: Bangkok, Thailand
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 22, 2018
Embassy Review : We had an excellent experience. We had our apt at 7am, we arrived at 6am and there were about 50 or so lined up. About 630am they started to get the different groups separated, we got put in front of the K1 group ( not sure if it was because i was with her or not but seemed that way as they did look at my american passport) The other women were alone or with thai friends. The opened the doors at 7am, she walked in (we cant go in with them) and i waited down the street at a coffee shop and at 830am she text me she was done and approved.

We got approved extra quick to to a very detailed application and packet 3 and proof of support documents. Others i know have taken 3-4 hours.
Rating : Very Good

Back in the wating game this time for citizenship. We applied online and submitted it 2/16/2024 and we got a notice of acceptance on same day, then 6 days later got her notice for interview on 3/29/2024 and also told us no biometrics needed they would use the ones from before. Now time for her to study and get ready.

After the interview on 3/29/2024 she was approved and took her oath the same day. We filed online on 2/15/2024 and shes was approved on 3/29/2024 !!!! Crazy 6 week turn around, not months and months like we saw online. If I have one tip for the last part of the journey or if you are starting new. Use the online portal to file all documents and applications. It really seems to speed up the process significantly.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
