Comments : After the interview in Tokyo on Jul. 2nd, my visa status on CEAC was "Application Received" for two days (Jul. 3rd and 4th). On Jul. 5th, my status became "Administrative Processing," and on Jul. 6th, it became "Issued." Then I started tracking my passport. During the day on Jul. 6th, it was "Your passport is still with post." I was hoping they'll bring my passport to the post office by the end of Jul 6th... Around 8pm on that day, it finally became "The current status of your passport is Origination Scan." Then I received my passport at 4pm on Jul. 7th. It took me 5 days including July 4th's holiday.

Event Description
Review Date : July 4, 2018
Embassy Review : My appointment time was at 10:30am.
I got there around10:10am and left the embassy around 1:15pm.

Everyone except the man who actually did my interview was friendly.
The man who did my interview was not mean or rude, but was not really friendly to me.
He didn't do "Sensei" part at first so I was worried. He said "I am not sure if we already did this or not, but let me do it again to make sure," and we did "Sensei." lol

I had joint sponsor who was a friend of my fiancé so he seemed a little concerned about it. He asked;

1. How are you and your fiancé going to support yourself?
My answer: "My fiancé has his own business and has income. Once I have my work permit, I am going to look for a job."
**I am not really sure if me saying "Once I have my work permit, I am going to look for a job" was a good idea or not.
But he didn't seem having any issues about my answer and did not say anything else.

2. Have you met your joint sponsor?
3. When did you meet your joint sponsor?
4. What is your joint sponsor's work?

These are the extra paperwork I provided at the interview along with my joint sponsor's I-134 and Tax Returns:
1. The statement letter from my joint sponsor (from when he knows my fiancé and me, the reason he's willing to be a joint sponsor.)
2. The photos of three of us together
3. His birth certificate
4. The letter from his employer

The man who had my interview also asked some other questions such as
1. Have you met your fiancé's parents?
2. Has he met your parents?
3. Do you have any picture of you two physically being together? (I showed him one picture)
4. What does he do for a living?
5. Have you been a university student in the states?
6. When did you graduate?

He asked me some of other basic questions, but I don't really remember.
It felt like over 30 mins while I was having the interview with him, but it was probably 15-20 mins.
I tried to stay calm and relaxed even when my heart was beating so quickly.
I tried to keep my answer short and only answer what he asked.

If you have a joint sponsor (or co sponsor) and have some questions about the interview or the paperwork, please feel free to send me a message.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
