We were in administrative processing from 10/18/17-10/30/17, visa status changed to “issued†online on 10/30 and my fiancé received a message on 11/02/17 that he could pick up his visa, we were never contacted by the consulate. |

Our interview was conducted together. It was short and simple. (How did we meet, do we know each other’s families, how did he propose, etc). The CO also read off the questions from the original visa application (“Are you a drug dealer?†Etc). The CO barely looked at our supporting evidence, just asked what we brought and made notes. He flipped through our photo album and asked where we have been in the USA. He took my new 2017 taxes and my husbands vaccination record. We were put in administrative processing and sent an rfe because the doctor in Rabat, Morocco filled out the vaccination record incorrectly. My husband had to go to a civil surgeon and get a new vaccination record and we mailed it to the Cleveland office. Shortly after that he received his green card. |

Entering the consulate, being finger printed, and turning in paper work went just as other interviews reported here stated. My fiance was interviewed by a Caucasian female. He was questioned for over an hour, and the CO seemed to be attempting to make him angry. She commented on my appearance/weight, and implied that he may only be trying to immigrate to the USA to be with his (male) cousin. She also (according to him) acted as if he was lying about the smallest things (me liking the beach for example). He was placed into administrative processing and told to wait two months to find out more. (On a side note this consulate is almost impossible to contact. They do not answer the phone, and most emails are responded to with generic responses). My fiance's visa was approved after about two weeks of AP. We were never notified by the consulate, and only found out because I randomly checked the online status. We signed up to have it delivered at the instruction of a friend that we met here, on VJ, and he received it a few days later. |

My fiance entered the USA in Chicago (he is from Morocco). His finger prints were taken, they asked him why he was coming to the USA, where he would be staying, and what his plans are, and wished him good luck. They also asked him if he brought any food from Morocco and he told them he brought oils, tea, peanut butter, and Moroccan sweets. They did not check his bag or care about the food. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
