End of Sept. 2016. NVC received our checklist's info
11/11/16. Notified we were missing info. (I assumed I was completing the DS-260 incorrectly but after 2 submissions, NVC notified us on 3/24/17 that we had been submitting my spouse's incorrect birth certificate. We had no idea that Ontario issues 2.)

7/17/17. NVC notified us that all documents had been received & they would be notifying us of an interview date
7/21/17. NVC set interview date for 8/17/17
8/17/17. Montreal interview. 221G issued (requesting my husband's proof of employment letter because I am the Sponsor & have been unemployed 2yr since we married & I've spent most of that time in Ontario) & passport returned to my husband
8/18/17. The requested employment letter and all of our banking & stock statements mailed to MTL
8/25/17. Status changed to "READY" on CEAC website and email received to mail in passport
8/30/17. Status changed to "ISSUED" on CEAC website
9/5/17. Passport mailed to MTL. This date is our 2nd wedding anniversary so I hope this ensures my spouse is issued an IR1 Visa instead of the CR1.
9/6/16. Passport & letter requesting IR1 versus CR1 Visa arrived in MTL.
9/12/17. Status updated, still titled "ISSUED" but said that was the date of the last case update and that it was in AP.
9/13/17. Status: "ISSUED" but said Visa will be received within 5 days. Received email with tracking # that passport & Visa will arrive 9/14/17.
