Yellow RAI letter for information required during the interview received 12/03/2011. Interview NOA recieved 12/05/2011, with interview scheduled for 01/09/2012. Oath ceremony scheduled for 01/30/2012. However, we had to reschedule due to a previously planned trip to the Philippines. Interview rescheduled for 03/02/2012. Leaving the originally scheduled date for the Visa Journey database statistics. |

I am writing this for my wife. She had a 7:30 AM interview and showed up between 6-6:30 AM. She and her mother stayed at Cherry Blossoms hotel a few blocks away for P1,515 for the premium room. It is a great deal.
She had to wait some, but she got out of the Embassy around 11:30 AM.
The pre-screener was nice and collected the data as stated numerous times here.
For the Consul interview, the man was happy and nice. He quickly scanned the documents and said, "Oh, your husband is under 40 years old. This will be quick." (She is 31. I am 38.)
He took the primary documents and only wanted my IRS Tax Transcript (Which you can order from the IRS that includes all your return info. Check the box that has the transcript include your W-2 and 1099-MISC info also. This is a very valid way to prove you filed your taxes and is "free" from the IRS.) with my I-134 Affidavit of Support. I am self-employed, so included proof of business and the typical bank statements, etc.
He reviewed the pictures, asked standard questions like how we met, what web site we met through (Match.com), and a few questions about the pictures he was looking at. Then he said she qualifies, and that was about it. She said the interview was about 3 minutes long.
She was given the slip for Delbros and paid about P180 or P190 for delivery to Mabalacat, Pampanga. It took 6 business days for delivery by Delbros. Her interview was 11/28/2007 and she received the Delbros delivery on 12/6/2007. The US Visa web site was saying processing was taking 3 days.
My wife said it was easy and nothing to worry about. It helps that she used a lot of the help from VisaJourney members detailed descriptions on how to organize all the documents. She did an amazing job organizing everything. We had contingencies for every question we could think of.
For example, my divorce paperwork had the wrong dates on the document, referring to marriage, separation and divorce dates. I supplied her a certified copy of my first marriage contract. Also I printed out the web site court docket showing the divorce date. None of this was needed, but it would have showed a paper trail of the correct information. That is the ticket a paper trail with a logical explanation of steps from A to Z.
So. Thank you to all those that posted. The St. Luke's medical PDF with maps and detailed steps was priceless for my wife. Other interview write-ups from other Filipina on this site were also priceless. Thank you!
My wife already went to the CFO seminar. Now she only has to go to the CFO office to get her final stamp in her passport now.
