They are only allowing the applicant in (at least in the Dallas office) no spouses (unless you also have an appointment). |

I didn't go with my fiance to the interview, so this is just going off of what he told me:
1. The interview was very easy. The officer just asked my fiance, what I study and where, his profession, how we met, if I lived by myself, and when we became engaged.
2. This is verbatim from him: "i didn’t get the email with instructions and they asked me to have the copy of birth certificate." He told me they complained about him not having a copy of his birth certificate, but he never got the e-mail that says it. However, they just made a copy right there in the office.
3. They require 2 photos, despite the website only saying 1. Only when you click on instructions will it say 2.
4. There was a lot of waiting. My fiance got there at 6:40 am, having his appointment at 8:10, and he didn't get interviewed until 9am, and it ended at 9:05 am.
Other than the small snafu with the birth certificate, it was an otherwise uneventful process with little stress. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
