Went through the Pacific truck crossing in Blaine Washington. the officer had met his wife in my home town. He was good and the list of all I was taking helped him not to go through the truck.Lucky socks again never hurt! He took a fingerprint and 6 dollars... didn't know about that. |

My husband being military we were posted to the UK. Lifting of conditions done and followed as per instructions. People in immigration office on base got me all messed up said because at the time we moved here you couldn't change to an APO on the address change page online, that I was to put our US address down so my M-I-L's address. Well I had sent the passport photos and finger print cards as required but they sent a biometrics appt to my MIL's house. Had to call and straighten that out but shortly after that got an RFE that I had not sent in the fingerprint cards.... sigh... So I don't know if they threw them out thinking I shouldn't have sent them or if they had them lost in my file. Anyway, I sent another set to them and because I was here and the code on the biometrics appt wouldn't let me log in to see the status. Anyway, got the 10 year GC shortly thereafter. |

Was scheduled for Interview/Oath 28sept12 but we had already left the UK. Changed address and UK was to mail directly to my new CIS office. 26nov12 notice of interview sent. So I went past all the other people lined up outside up to the 20th floor and past the 2 security checks. I had the papers all in order or what I thought was order. The guys at the second security check gave me the wrong sheet... the one for the K3/4 visa instead of the K1, but that was okay. There was just one other K1 applicant with her fiance there... sitting on the chairs right infront of the few counters they have off to the left of the room that's on the left... hehe. The lady organizing the papers wasn't having a good morning she was running behind and the other fiance's dr had messed up her papers and had other issues. So I get up to the counter and all went alright. They weren't too happy I didn't have a letter from my fiance's employer. But I did have his statement of Leave and Earnings that the Military supplies. The other issue was that I took the birth certificate I was given when I was born and it didn't contain both my parents names on it so I had to go to the vital statistics in vancouver and get them to rush a copy of it to me. Which I was able to, at a price of course, receive and quickly return after my interview. The officer that interviewed me was very nice. Asked How we met? (it was online so then asked...) When was the first time we met in person? What does your fiance do? How many times have you visited him? how many times has he visited you? what is the longest amount of time you've spent in the us? if at any other time since I was 16 have I lived anywhere else? what is my fiance's rank in the military? do either of us have kids? was he married when I met him or seperated? He then said well I see no problems here... just need your new birth certificate...This was 1230. Never in this process did I need to show my evidence of a relationship nor did I have to show my chest xray (I really don't think it's necessary to bring it... they have the report from the doctor) So, when I returned at 230 and went through the 2 security checks again I have the same lady my birth certificate she took it and awhile later returned with my Visa and my envelope to hand in at my POE. She was much nicer once she wasn't so busy and time restrained. She seemed to know nothing about JFK being the only place where you could get work authorization, I'll try where I have my POE. So, I know have the worst picture ever posted into my passport and was all done by 3. So these here lucky socks are never leaving my possession. |

We waited outside for the doors to open at 8 when our appt was scheduled. We were the first ones in put our interview letter through the slot in the wall and sat in the waiting room off to the right. It was about 8:20 when this friendly lady came out and called my name. She swore us in then verified our previous marriage status. Asked my full name, address, phone number, place of birth, first name of my birth parents and about 4 of the NO questions, how we met,(then was talking about how at least 80% of people she sees met online) and verified that we have no children. Then said "I'm going to approve your case, you will be getting your green card in as little as 1 week." I asked if she would give me a stamp she said no, that they arrive so quickly they don't give out stamps, if it doesn't arrive in a month come back. Asked if I am able to accept work yet she said no, that I could go to the job interviews but am not able to start work until my GC arrives. She asked if we had anymore questions.. we didn't. So she said it was a pleasure meeting us both we were back in the car before 8:30 with smiles on our faces!! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
