My French fiancé and I went to the U.S. Embassy in Paris for the K-1 fiancé interview. They let both of us in, no problem. Inside we saw one lady (a French) who took my fiancé’s sealed medical envelope, birth certificate, police record, and pictures. Afterwards, we were sent to the interview line. For the interview, we saw an American man who just took my fiance’s passport. The gentleman who did the interview was very nice, he just asked:
- When did we meet?
- If we lived together?
- If we had any plans for the wedding?
- What my fiancé did?
- What I did?
Overall, the experience was very good and took just an hour in total. My only complaint, which is no fault of the embassy, is that there happened to be a lot of screaming children while we were there which made it difficult to hear. Thank you and good luck to everyone.
