Medisys in Montreal has just move to a new location.., while I was not really aware of the waiting time to expect, it was definitely long! I think they are adjusting to the new location. So bring a book, snacks and be patient. I was there for about 4 hours.

Consulate Review: Montreal, Canada
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 7, 2017
Embassy Review : The process was efficient and adequate. My only concern is that after the approval they indicated I have to wait 3 weeks (!!!) to get my passport back and it appears to me a very long time for such a sensitive legal document. I walked out with very mixed feelings due to this and I am still hoping the documents will be returned faster...

To summarize:
My appointments was scheduled at 7:30am, I was at the door for 7:10am there was already about 8-10 people in front of me!
At 7:30 they open the doors and only let appointments from 7:30 in (some people were at 8am and showed up early).

Security: don't bring backpacks, big purses: I only had my wallet, documents and car keys: they kept car and gave me a little number (I think they were doing the same with mobile phones). If you have a big purse/backpack they will turn you away and tell you to come back.
They give you a sheet with your number and your proceed to assemble the documents in the indicated order. Pretty much all the documents previously listed and what is indicated on the packet4 letter. Don't forget 2 photos + proof payment.

They call you to a first window were you give all the documents and they take your fingerprints.
Next, they call you to another window for the actual interview. Questions were straighforward:
1) how did you meet
2) when is the first time you met in person
3) did you meet his family
4) were you or him married before
5) do you or him have kids
6) when do you plan the weeding
They also made me do the official "I swear that I am telling the truth".
That was it... she gave me the pink paper and said that current timeline to get documents back is 3 weeks!

Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
