Interview scheduled 7. Line started forming 6:10 we were parked and walked over after 5+ people joined the line. They opened the doors at 7am exactly.

We went up to 14th and past security with the ID and letter. Spouse allowed to enter, she was first person to check into naturalization line at window 2.

By 7:30 was called in and I waited in waiting room, 7:50 she finished already and approved.

She went to 15, they told me to wait on floor 2 cafeteria while she gets oath. They have snacks, food, coffee and drinks here in 2.

Oath at 10:30 to 11:00. We parked on street (Court street across from building) using ParkMobile app.

Embassy Review : Had the first appointment of the day, at 7:30 AM. Once you arrive you go to window 7 to present evidence. After that, you go to window 2 to get fingerprinted (after your number is called).

Finally, you go to the interview at another window (after number called again).

I had a pleasant interview experience with my fiance. Just a few questions, such as where we will live and how we met. Also spoke about my job in Cambodia, as I (as the USC) lived in Cambodia for 5 years. Spoke about wedding plans also.

I expect our case received less scrutiny as we had lived together for years and have a child who received his certificate of birth abroad at the same embassy with her listed as his mother. As such we had an abundance of evidence.

Rating : Very Good

POE Review: JFK
Event Description
Entry Date : 2018-03-10
Embassy Review : For the POE in JFK, I waited on the line with her. We were pulled off to go to the front as our son transformed into the spawn of satan while we were on the immigration line. It really helped as they wanted to get us the hell out of there as soon as possible.

She went into the interview room without me. I made sure she took the devil-child with her and they did not ask anything besides where we would live. They just reminded her to make sure to complete the marriage within 90 days.

I collected the luggage while she handled that, and off we went. No issues at all, but the line would not have been fun if we did not get to skip it due to our 3 year old acting up.
Harassment Level : Low

Event Description

Embassy Review : Had our interview Jan 31, 2019, for my wife to get her green card. Basic questions asked such as how did we meet and where.

Advice for others, go over the security questions if your significant other is English second language. They will ask them to answer them all at the end of the interview and your spouse may not know the more complex words (i.e. espionage, treason, etc..).

In this day and age, the 2-hour waits should be eliminated, have an allotted time for interviews and stick with the schedule. People late for interviews get rescheduled. I am moving the score down because of the lengthy waiting period.
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
