Since your case was expedited, did you have to make appointment on your own through the online portal? was the appointment easily available?

Hi
Timeline on expediting:
Request emailed 3 Oct 2017
Received response 17 Oct 2017
Interview date 19 Dec 17
Below: an email I received from the Consulate in JNB. Hope it helps:
Once you have all your documents in order, kindly register on https://ais.usvisa-info.com/ and then schedule your interview date and email us a copy of the confirmation page in order to update our system.
I made an appointment myself and it was very easy.

I have been looking for open appointment date on the same portal for past 30 days but it’s been saying no available appointments available. I wonder when they will open more dates for interview.

I recall also having difficulty getting an available appointment date - I just kept looking 3/4 times a day and finally one opened up. It seems you are almost on the same time frame as I was in 2017 to schedule an interview. Just keep checking (constantly) and I'm sure you'll find a date.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
