Embassy Review : So my husband’s interview was Sept 10th at 7:30am. We got there at about 6:45am to make sure we got a decent park, and we did. The Park was right across the street from the embassy, but we had to pay a man for the parking, so be prepared for that.

We then walked across the street and waited in a line to go in the building. The lady asked to see everyone’s appointment letter before we entered and we waited for about 30-45 min to enter. Once we entered we went through a security check point where the normal was done (everything out of pockets, etc.), then to desk outside.

When we got to the desk, a lady asked for my husband appointment letter again, his passport pics, gave him a number, and told us to enter into the door on the right and listen for the number.

Once we got in and sat, the number was called within 30 min.. A man at the window ask for my husband’s fingerprints which is done on a machine at the window, and he ask for our original marriage certificate, his original birth certificate, my tax transcript for last year, and his passport. He also asked my husband how long we’ve been married, my husband being a nervous reck told him 3 yrs but it was 2, so I had to correct him lol. The man then told us to have a seat and wait until his name was called.

And here comes the wait... we waited from 8:30 until 11:30!! As we waited, we became really nervous hearing all the denials and different questions being asked. That is really the only negative thing I can say about the embassy, is that there is no privacy! U walk up to the CO and everyone hears what u guys are saying.
But overall we had a great interview. We was asked like 7 questions...

Where did we meet?
Did we have children?
Is this our first marriage?
How many times I’ve been to JA?
Did we have pictures? And we did.
Where are we staying?
How long did it take us to get to Kingston?

And that’s it... he said the visa was approved and we could pick it up in a week! My baby his coming home with me. All praise to God! My advice would be to be well prepared! Everyone case is different so Your experience maybe different, but I believe great preparation and organization is needed to get an approval.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
