Hello, I know your interview is supposed to be tomorrow and I know Lagos is on shut down. So how are you doing it? Are you finding a way to attend or did rob end up rescheduling? If rescheduling, how did yoh do so? We are in the same boat

My husband's friend tried traveling to Lagos it was difficult to get into Lagos. Since my husband told his friend to keep in touch so he will know the situation of things, because he was preparing to go to Lagos for his interview. It took his friend almost a day and half to get into Lagos. So my husband decided to call US embassy Lagos yesterday 4/13/20 they said call today 4/14/20. He called today twice at 7am, spoke with the security personnel who advised him to call after one hour. He called again at 8am and spoke with the embassy staff. The staff said " all interviews has been postponed till further notice". I don't think you can reschedule now because they don't know when Lagos Embassy will start working. I will advise you to call them too. Make sure you call between 7am and 9am or latest 10am to lessen your waiting time.

Call the embassy 2 to 3 days before your interview, since the coronavirus lockdown has been extended to another 14 days in Lagos. We waited for email from Lagos consult or US immigration services, we became confused. So calling few days before your interview will save you tons of stress.

Yes!! Still waiting for an email that states that interview has been postponed and they haven’t sent out any. Thanks so much for your reply. It’s been very informative. Could you kindly send me the number that you called so I can let my husband know to do same at least 2-3 days before the interview date?? God bless you

Not sure why you would keep calling the consulate. All visa services have been suspended worldwide until further notice. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/ea/routine-visa-services-suspended-worldwide.html

Thank you dear! You have been a great help

@ paul & Mary, all visa services has not been suspended, I check people's timelines daily. Some country's consulate are still issuing visa and conducting interviews. Me and my husband has been on this journey for long time so I check USCIS website daily and check visa journey timelines. Go through timelines someone went for interview few days ago and was issued a visa. This varies country from country.

The person that went for the interview is definitely not Nigeria. This whole journey of waiting and waiting is kind of disheartening but thank God who has been faithful; he will see us through to the end.

Not in Nigeria, someone was interviewed in Frankfurt Germany on 4/1/20, visa was approved.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
