Embassy Review : My husbands interview time was 9am. He was let in at 8:30am. At 9 they called him up & took the required documents. A little while later they called him up again & gave back certain documents that they said they didn't need. He waited 3 hours until his number was called for the interview. He says the waiting was the toughest part LOL. He was sworn in & then the woman asked when we met, how did our relationship evolve, when did we get married, how much do I visit him & if either of us has been married before. He said the woman was very nice & polite. She told him that everything looked good but that we needed to upload my and our sponsors 2017 1040 tax forms. We had only sent 2016 to NVC since it was at the end of March...and even though my husband had our 2017 tax forms at the interview, she handed them back to him & said that they just needed to be uploaded to CEAC. She gave him form 221-G & highlighted where it said to upload taxes & she said for us to email the embassy after we completed that. I was a bit heartbroken when he came home with that form...but we immediately uploaded the forms & emailed them. They responded the next day that they will review our documents. 3 days later our status changed to "Issued"...and 3 days after that we picked up his visa from the post office! So they were very quick about it. Overall our experience with the embassy was very smooth. Our entire visa journey took 13 months
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
