No interview was scheduled, just received the green card in the mail. EAD and AP status was not changed online on USCIS site: we were checking EAD status only and did not know that the AOS was approved already. |

Embassy Review : |
My fiancee's interview was scheduled at 6:40 am. She arrived to the embassy around 6 am and was let in within a few minutes. During the prescreening they asked for her birth certificate, NBI clearance, CENOMAR, passport, and medical results (she did not bring the CD from the hospital since it is not needed). They did not ask for I-134 or my divorce degrees (which she obviously had with her). They did ask her what kind of supporting evidence she
had (she mentioned photos, remittance receipts, bouquet receipts, boarding passes for our travel together) but never asked to show any of these. She was asked some basic questions about me (my name, birthday, my job, which state I live in). She then proceeded to fingerprinting. This was the most nervous part of the interview for her because she needed to do it four times before her prints were accepted, she was letting other people do it and waiting between her failed attempts. She was told that this is because her fingers were too dry and she had to use a lot of moisturizer that is available there. The final interview with the American consular officer was smooth. The female officer was friendly and asked her again basic questions about me and also when and how we met - my fiancee basically retold her the circumstances of meeting part of I-129F and she was approved.
Few words of advice based on her experience: better be over prepared than under prepared; some people my fiancee saw there had trouble understanding American embassy officers and made them annoyed because they did not speak English well (my fiancee was even helping them to understand what the officers want), this is unlikely to be an issue with K-1 visa applicants but for those with poor English it is better to arrange for an interpreter beforehand (I believe embassy does this for free). |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
