Event Description
Review Date : March 15, 2019
Embassy Review : My AOS interview got scheduled for March 13th at 12:15pm. I got there at 11:30am, I went through the security and went to check in place. They said it is too early to check in and asked me to come back at 11:45am. I checked in at 11:45am and went upstair. I heard where the US flag is for Citizenship, so I went to the right side of waiting area and sat in front of the door(Right next to TV). People started coming out of the door and soon interviewers called numbers(My number was K9). I waited for over an hour, everyone got called in, but I was the only person who was left in the waiting area. The next appointment (1:15pm) people started coming and they got called in. I thought something went wrong with my number, so I went back to check in place to ask. The lady said someone just pulled out my application, so I should go back. And my interviewer finally called my number. She said she got called to do some other work and it took awhile to finish it. So she apologized for the long wait. We went into her room, took a picture and fingerprints, and asked me where my husband is. So I told her my husband is in Navy and is recently deployed. I called USCIS and they said I just need to bring the deployment letter. So I brought the deployment letter, but she said it is not the official one. I explained my husband asked for official one, but they just printed the letter to sign, and it is the original document. She asked me if I have any documents to submit, so I gave her all the documents like joint bank accounts, joint tax return for 2017, insurance, power of attorney, bills and pictures. She asked me how we met, how we decided to get married, if we met our both parents, who came to our wedding, where we had wedding, etc. I explained the whole story and she wrote it all down on my application. She asked me all "NO" questions. She told me that she has to talk to supervisor about the deployment letter and will update my status tonight or tomorrow. I asked if the deployment letter is not acceptable what would happen. She said she will personally call me to reschedule for another interview when my husband comes back from the deployment, but it should be okay. She was very friendly and nice. I left the Seattle office around 2pm. And I got text messages saying"My status got updated" at 3:30pm. And my status got updated to "New Card is being produced". My interview took longer than I expected, but I was glad it is over.
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
