Event Description

Embassy Review : Very polite and caring gentleman, who made the whole experience comfortable. It was a conversational interview where he engaged us by letting us discuss family matters. It didn't take 20 minutes to complete the interview and was approved on the spot.
Harassment Level : Very Good

Congratulations on successfully arriving to the near end of this long road. I am still anxiously waiting and would be grateful if you respond to my questions. - what questions were asked in relation to i-751 part of your application.

Thanks Parsi2017, this was indeed a protracted and uncertain journey. The interview was based on how we met. Every question was aimed at figuring out how we met and ended up together. She wanted details of how we moved from the past relationships to ending up married to one another. My wife was married before, to an American, and since we're both South Africans, it might have been suspicious that we conveniently ended up together after her divorce. We were accompanied to the interview by our newborn son, and the IO wanted verification that he was our son, and at that time we didn't have his birth certificate yet. I submitted that the very next day. It took exactly 3 weeks to get a response of approval. What my experience taught me is that, the main purpose of the interview was to verify the legitimacy of the marriage from every angle IO might approach it from and consistency was the center of the process.
