No issues entering through JFK. Husband and I entered together. He didn’t even go to secondary, the POE officer took his packet and asked him how long we have been married and what is my occupation and that’s it! Smooth

Consulate Review: Jamaica
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 6, 2018
Embassy Review : Husband’s interview was at 7:30am. He arrived at 7:15 and joined a lone outside the embassy. No phones allowed. Some guys on the street hold the phone for a small fee.
He waited for a while then was prescreened. He was asked for his docs..police record, marriage cert etc.
Waited again
When he was called up to the window he was asked:
Who is petitioning for him
What is my occupation
Where does he work
Has he every traveled to the US before
When was the last time he traveled
When was the last time he saw me
Who proposed
Who bought the rings
When did I (petitioner) first arrived in the US. (He only told the officer the year)
The officer then asked to see chats between us and photos.
She didn’t ask for any AOS or financial documents.

Then she said “ok this looks legit” refering to our photos. My advice is to take a variety of pics. It really helps to seal the deal.

She told him he was approved pending the receipt of the medical (he was only able to get an appointment a week before the interview).

Edit: the medical was sent over 2 weeks later. Medical was done on Mon -Jan 22 and the embassy received it by Fri-Feb 2 (I emailed the embassy and they told me)
Visa was printed Monday Feb 5 and in hand Thurs Feb 8. 😀😀😀
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
