Interview was fairly straight forward and as expected. As long as you have all of the documentation outlined in your interview letter and your relationship is genuine, then it's plain sailing. |

Embassy Review : |
I had my interview today and I am APPROVED!!!Â
The whole process was so quick - my interview time was 11.30 and 45 minutes later at 12.15 my interviewer told me I was approved. Such a great feeling!
Below is a summary of my experience for all those going through the interview process in London:
- I arrived at 11.15 and proceeded to the blue tent outside the Embassy and showed my passport and confirmation page from when I booked my interview (the lady at the tent was extremely friendly)
- Next I went through security and proceeded through the main entrance and was told to take a seat
- After a little wait, my number was called on the screen and I proceeded to the window. I was asked to hand over the following documents:
+Passport
+Confirmation page (the lady at the blue tent had stuck some stickers on there which they needed)
+Passport photo
+Birth certificate
+Police certificate
+Aafidavit of supportÂ
+Letter from my fiancee's employer
- I had my finger prints taken and then was given a copy of my chest x-rays and told to take a seat and wait to be called again
- Now at this point, having read other reviews, I thought I was in for a long wait. However, after around 10/ 15 minutes, my number was called again!
- At the desk, I had a friendly guy who asked for me to raise my right hand and swear to tell the truth etc.. I then gave some more finger prints, and was asked the following questions:
+When did we meet? (this led to some further related questions as my fiance is actually from the UK oiginally and we met in school in the UK)
+ What type of school was it that we met at?
+ Had we stayed in contact since she moved to the US?
+ What has she been up to recently?
+Where does she work?
+What does she do there?
After that, he said I was approved and that was that. It was all very straight forward and more of a conversation than an interview. It didn't feel like I was being interviewed, and felt more like going through formalities than anything else.

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
