Didn't need 10 year green card due to the fact it was a combo interview and we were approved for both (I-751 & N-400) on the same day. |

Our officer was very pleasant..We had the combo interview due to a pending I-751 and was approved on the spot and moved on to the N-400. Hubby got every question right..We are indeed thankful to our Lord and Savior.
11/29/22 - Oath Ceremony was today and my husband is officially a U.S. citizen! Thank you God we can put this immigration stuff behind us. |

Embassy Review : |
First off, I want to thank God for seeing us through until the very end..God is so good all the time...Hubby's interview was 03/12/18 and we are just now posting to share our joy with fellow VJ members..He left for the embassy at 4:30am arriving 4:55am with people already lined up..We all know the procedure so I am to going to bypass that part of it..However, he did say it was a breeze with no issues..Now to the main interview as told by my husband:
So when the CO called my number, I went to pick up the many documents (evidence) that was given back to me that my wife had sent to the USCIS and NVC along with documents my wife had shipped to me. I dropped it at my front, the CO saw it and asked what are those. I replied the evidence my wife sent that was given back to me..She glanced at it a 2nd time and smiled..Since I had already acknowledged my wife in our conversation, she changed the normal line of questioning who called for you to:
*So it is your wife that called for you, right? I responded.
*Where did you meet? I responded
*When did you meet? I responded
*Has your wife been to Nigeria? Responds
*How many times? Responds
*Can you give me dates? Gives month and year
*How long did you spend together in those meetings? Give amount of weeks for each time my wife has come
*What does your wife do for a living? Responds
*How long has your wife worked at her present employer? Responds
*She asked what type of wedding did we have? Responds
She then asked to see pictures in our photo album...
She takes out a picture and asked me for the name of each individual which I did...
She then smiles and says YOUR VISA IS APPROVED and I whispered under my breath THANK YOU JESUS!
He stated she was very nice as well as the lady at the window where he taken his oath..In all, it was very pleasant experience..I say to all who has not had their interview is to go in there with confidence and answered each question truthfully and honestly without pausing or hesitating..Most importantly, be sure to greet the CO with a smile and always make direct eye contact..Don't fidget or show signs of nervousness because to them they feel you are not being truthful and they will definitely see that as red flag in their eyes...Good luck to all on your journey and always put God first and foremost..

Timeline Comments: 2Much appreciated for sharing your I-751 timelines.
And congratulations on your approval for both I-751 and N-400 :)
Thank you so much. Just glad this will finally be over..Wishing you well on your journey.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
