Consulate Review: Bangkok, Thailand
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 3, 2017
Embassy Review : My fiancé advised she was greeted warmly. She had no issues with any of the questions. We used a legal firm to organize and submit documents. Received the dreaded 221G letter. I thinks those are the correct numbers. Lol. No worries I forgot to include a document which was just mailed out this morning through fedex. CO told her get the document to them and it’ll be approved. FYI we had the traditional wedding ceremony in Thailand. Read not a legal wedding. We included a dozen or so photos from that and there were absolutely zero negative issues with it as it pertained to the visa. The CO spoke fluent Thai and was familiar with local customs. At least in our case. YMMV. I have read about people being worried they look too married. Well in my opinion you either are or your not. If there is no legally binding action you are not married. Now those that say otherwise I will respect their opinion. In closing the process in BKK was smooth.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
