Comments : Because of a law change in Jan 06, USCIS sent us a RFE which was a form letter regarding the use of an International Marriage Broker, regardless of whether you used one or not (which we didn't). Instead of sending the RFE once the I-129F is received since this is information is required for every petition, USCIS waits until later in the process which increases the processing time. --- Later on, we were able to arrange for an earlier interview once the packet had arrived at the Consulate.

Comments : USCIS never contacted us to schedule the biometrics appointment or to tell us it was needed/pending. After several weeks of calling the 800 customer service number when the processing time passed 90 days, we finally made an INFOPASS appointment where they told us we needed a biometrics appointment. We scheduled it shortly thereafter, but still 3 months after the 90 day window.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
