Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 31, 2007
Embassy Review : Got to the embassy at 7:30 for an 8:00 appointment. We went through security and settled in for our wait. We were the second immigrant visa appointment, and G. was called to the window at 8:30 to go through documents and get fingerprinted. Cooled our heels until 9:45 when it was interview time! A young man was the interviewer, and said he was new on the job, and cried every time he looked at his desk because of all the paperwork. The interview itself took about three minutes. G. explained that we were traveling to Amsterdam on Monday, so the interviewer said that he'd approve the visa, give G. back his passport so he could travel, and that G. could arrange for SMS to collect his passport, take it to the Embassy, and SMS would return it a week later.
Rating : Good

POE Review: San Francisco
Event Description
Entry Date : 2008-01-08
Embassy Review : Sorry for the delay -- just wanted to report that the entry was so easy as to be anticlimatic! We went into the wrong line (new immigrants) -- but the guard said "Meh -- no one's gonna yell at you. I'll take care of you." After fingerprinting my guy and clicking on his computer ("I don't do many K-1s" he explained), we were in!
Harassment Level : Low

Local US CIS Office Review: San Francisco CA
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : September 7, 2008
Embassy Review : Went well -- just don't bring your cell phone -- they'll make you either take it back to your car or across the street to a camera shop that will babysit your phone for $3.
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
