Marriage : 2017-09-30
Comments : I decided to schedule for an interview 2 months after getting approved since my fiance will be coming to the Philippines and will accompany me during the interview session at the embassy.
The interview went well and did not ask me a lot, just the usual how we met and how long the relationship is.
Most questions were directed to my fiance and not to me, I guess the consul was also in the military since they were already laughing and talking about military stuff.

Comments : My fiance and I arrived early morning at LAX. We went straight to immigration and separated since I'm on visa entry. Everyone were nice, I guess because its still early and there's less stress from work. The immigration process only took 5 minutes, I even finished and went to the baggage claiming area first than my fiance.

Comments : We had our interview schedule around 8:00AM. We arrived an hour early so we just stayed at the parking lot before entering the building, which is 20 minutes before the scheduled time. The interviewer asked us our names, took my fingerprint scan and photo; and lastly, swore infront of him. Once everything was done, he asked the usual questions about our relationship. How we met, etc. He also asked and verified the "yes and no" portion in the AOS form we submitted. Then, he asked if we have any additional documents we could submit aside from our marriage certificates. We gave him our Photo album and a copy of our insurance. After that, he told us we are approved and gave us a written document with the approval sign. He told us that we should expect the card to arrive after a week.

Event Description

Embassy Review : The processing of documents were slow in this office as compared to the ones I have experienced in California. Maybe it is due to the lack of staff and the pandemic. Nevertheless, the onsite experience were great. Security guards and the officer who interviewed us were all smiles and friendly. There was not too much people inside and the interview went well. I got an approval on the spot.
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
