Comments : Called the embassy directly to have the first interview rescheduled from the original date of March 2 to April 11 for personal convenience.

First interview denied on the basis of our son's birth certificate was marked as a delayed registration so they wanted additional proof of our relationship. I needed to find dated pictures of when I was pregnant as well as shortly after of his birth, a new copy of his baptismal, and a medical record proof of his birth to me. I submitted them the next day after the interview via 2GO and was approved 2 weeks later.

Green Card Received : 2019-03-20
Comments : My son's green card showed approved on the same day as mine but his green card never came. On 5/24/19 we opened a case with the USCIS Service Center via phone. After receiving no response, we called again on 6/3/19 to submit another case. The following week we received an email response saying that it had not been printed yet and that they would follow up with the California Center. On 7/17/19 we still had not received the card and we called the USCIS Service Center and requested to speak to an upper-level officer. Within a few days, we received an email stating that they had inadvertently approved my son's green card and he now needed biometrics even though he is under 13. We went to our local biometrics office the next day and just walked in. We received the card on 8/29/19.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
