Spent around 45 minutes queuing at JFK Arrivals, waiting to be seen by a CBP officer.
I was called up and handed over my K1 documents and passport. These were reviewed by the officer who then took my fingerprints and photograph.
I was then escorted to the secondary screening room where I was told to wait while they did some additional processing. This took around 5 minutes. I was then called up and given my passport back.
All done, no hassle! |

Received an RFE as I had booked a return flight when arranging migration to the USA, and despite cancelling the return leg of the journey I was somehow logged as having left the country!
I had to provide proof that I remained in the USA (I-94 record, bank statements, etc.) which was annoying but to USCIS' credit they did get everything approved less than 3 weeks after receiving all evidence. |

USCIS confirmed they were able to reuse the biometric data on file so appointment was waived
My case was originally being processed at Vermont, but on 10/22/22 I received an update stating my case was being transferred to the NBC to "speed up processing".
I attended my N400 interview and the IO confirmed he had my I-751 with him but would not review it there and then. Instead, he stated he'd review it at a later date. Two days after my interview the N400 was approved and the I-751 was initially marked as 'Appeal/Motion Was Dismissed' - however, on Jan 31, I saw status change again to show it had been marked as approved! |

Status changed to Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled 2 days after my interview, and then 2 days after that I received an update in my account that Oath Ceremony notice had been mailed. I was able to check the PDF version of my letter and saw my ceremony date listed as 3/1/23. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
